Bruce's wife, Kristi (Taylor) has roots firmly planted on the Bolivar Peninsula. Her grandfather, William Standefer (and wife Ruby), built out one of the area's first subdivisions along with some friends. That community, Kona Kai, is still vibrant today with great neighbors who enjoy canal living.

For decades, the Bolivar Peninsula was "home". Kristi’s grandparents built a life on the bay, creating memories that shaped generations. After more than 30 years in the Dallas area, Bruce and Kristi returned full-time in 2022, choosing Crystal Beach as home and continuing a family legacy rooted in community.

After decades of memories on the Bolivar Peninsula, this became our full-time home. Building here represents a commitment to family, community, and putting down permanent roots in the place we love.
Built in Crystal Beach because local buyers deserve a lender who understands the area and its unique challenges. Often, coastal buyers are underserved by out-of-area lenders. Gulf Coast Home Loans local expertise offers experienced, trustworthy guidance and options for the Bolivar Peninsula community.
